I moved from Perth some 20 years ago to Emerald in Central Queensland which was when I began an interest in Sapphires at the Central Queensland Region of Anakie, Sapphire, Rubyvale, Glen Alva and Willows one of the Worlds largest Producers of Sapphires dating back to the late 1800s.

In this time I spent a lot of time in this region looking for these precious gem stones as this particular region produced some of the finest colour in the world ranging from clear stones to fine blues greens yellows and parti's is a stone that consist of two or more colours e.g. yellow blues yellow green blue greens and blue white. Including fancy colours which are World Renowned.

After a number of years I decided to take up cutting lessons from our local Tafe College and was taught the fine art of faceting from one of the finest Gem cutters on the Gemfields. It was then I decided to move to the Gemfields where I continued my interests within the Sapphire Industry. I began work here with a local Jewellery business were I spent many years working with two one of which was a Master Jeweller learning new skills and then decided to open my own business, which I have now been successfully running for 3 years. 

Trading as Sapphire Showcase specializing in only local Sapphire with no other gemstones in stock I now have a huge range of Sapphires and Zircons in stock in all those amazing shapes and sizes and colours. Along with this I do a complete range of gems Jewellery and settings at very competitive prices.
